“Built on the edge of the marsh, in sight of the open Gulf of Mexico, the marina is just five miles from the 100-fathom curve where, arguably, the best marlin and tuna fishing in America exists.”
Don Causey, Angling Report Editor
Not only is Port Eads the fishing capital of the Gulf of Mexico but the marina and lodges complex is being used to continue the legacy of conservation, education in the marine sciences, pelagic species studies, and more through local, regional, and national partnerships with, among others, the YMCA, LUMCON, UNOLS, and NOAA.

Start where the road ends south of New Orleans in Venice, Louisiana and travel with us another 20 miles downriver to the mouth of the mighty Mississippi. Stay with us at the historic Port Eads Marina and Lodges. The newly constructed, state of the art facilities have been built on the original location, including two expanded and updated lodges. The Port Eads lodges offer anglers the ability to fish the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico without making the long, sometimes dangerous runs back to marinas up the Mississippi or the various marinas located on the FL, AL, MS and TX coasts. Each lodge, known respectively, as the “North” and “South” camps, can host up to 24 anglers with all the comforts of home, including: bathrooms in each bedroom, large screen satellite TV’s in the living area, fully stocked bar, and restaurant. Space is available on a per bed or room basis. In addition to the lodges, anglers can enjoy 17,500 square feet of newly constructed dock with a spectacular view of the South Pass. Short-term and transient slip rentals are available for our guests on a first come, first served basis.
Per-Bed: Thursday-Saturday $125
Private Room: Thursday-Saturday $625
All Lodge bookings include breakfast, served at your convenience to ensure no time on the water is missed.
Each room at Port Eads contains three set of bunk beds, two of which have queen sized lower bunks. When booking at the bed rate, you reserve the same beds, but may be lodging with other bed-rate clients. The private room rate reserves all six beds of the room, no matter your group size.
The newly constructed marina at Port Eads offers slips for 60 boats, available for annual lease or transient mooring. In addition to the slips the marina has over 17,500 square feet of dock space with a large fish scale located on the main dock. Diesel, gasoline, and ice will be available to purchase for South Pass customers.
Transit Slips – Boats 23 feet and under are $3 per ft. per night. Boats 24 feet and larger are $5 per ft. per night.
Annual Slips – $3000 plus $10 per day for 30 Amp electric hook up and $20 per day for 50 Amp hookups. An electricity charge only applies on days that the boat is in the slip.
* Boats residing at Port Eads Marina on an annual basis; will be capped at $6000 annual charge including electricity.
** Based on the remote location of Port Eads and the fact that garbage must be taken up river; Port Eads Marina reserves the right to charge a garbage removal fee.
Located inside the large lodge known as the North Camp, our restaurant is suitably named Finley’s. Named after High Adventure Company’s executive chef Sean Finley, our restaurant incorporates the best local and regional ingredients into a dining experience not to be missed. You would be impressed with our food if we were located in New Orleans, not to mention 20 miles out in the marsh! In addition, our restaurant is capable of catering lunches for fishing outings. Come join us at Finley’s for an excellent meal following a tiring day in the gulf.
*Due to our location, we are unable to keep a cash bank on premises. Please come prepared to pay by card.
