“Monster Trout in Georgia”

The secret is out. As featured in the April/May issue of Garden & Gun, there are monster trout to be found in Georgia. And best of all, these goliaths have been sighted within driving distance of some major metro areas. So if you live in Atlanta, Nashville or Chattanooga, it would be all too easy to get your fly fishing gear out, load up your car and head to the Soque River.

Just how good is the fishing? Let’s just say, T. Edwards Nichols from Garden & Gun calls the Soque “a fisherman’s paradise.” Although he is the first to admit, he didn’t come for the river, which is beautiful in its own right. He came for the “two-foot-long rainbow trout.” Who can blame him? That right there is a thing of beauty for any angler.

At High Adventure Company, we have been enjoying some of the best fly fishing in the southeast for years. Then again, having private access to four miles of pristine trout water at the Headwaters at the Soque is pretty hard to resist. Prime location. Trophy trout. We simply can’t get enough of that!
