Guayascate the ultimate lodge experience

Argentina – Dove Hunting

There is good, there is great and there is the best. Dove hunting in Argentina is without question the best dove hunting there is in the world. It is no wonder the doves are considered a plague and hunted year round in Argentina.  The High Adventure Company was one of the pioneers of dove shooting in Argentina; along with our Argentina partner we have built some of the finest dove lodges in the country: Posta del Norte, La Aguada; and represent the balance of the cream of the crop: Guayascate, Los Charnes and Sierra Brava. Argentina has welcomed hunters for over a decade and has proven to be a friendly, safe destination for visiting international sportsmen.  With our twenty years of experience in Argentina dove hunting circles we can customize packages ranging from the most affordable to the ultimate in luxury.  Speak with one of our experts and let us help to determine which lodges are the best fit based on your party’s budget, expectations, and desires.

Hunting

Argentina is synonymous with the best high volume dove hunting in the world and for good reason, these birds are non-migratory, you can hunt them with consistency year-round. At any given time the dove population ranges from twenty to twenty five million birds! As one of the pioneers of dove shooting in Argentina we have some of the best roosts tied up which is the key to successful shooting year round. After a leisurely breakfast at the lodge hunters will depart for the field and drive as little as 2 minutes but never drive more than 1 hour to be in the middle of the highest volume shooting in the country. Upon arrival to the field, hunters will be assigned a bird boy to look after their every need, including shells, drinks and anything else a hunter could want for.  From there it is nothing but the highest volume shooting of any hunt in the world. You are truly only limited by your own stamina.  After the morning shoot, hunters will either return to the lodge for lunch and a siesta or relax in the field in grand style while enjoying one of the world famous “asaodos” or BBQs.

Habitat

The Habitat in the Cordoba region of Argentina varies from large-scale agriculture tracts consisting of soybeans, sorghum, and corn to thickly brushed tracts of rolling hills where the birds typically roost.  The agriculture areas are generally hunted January thru late May and the hills are often hunted June thru the November.

Seasons

Doves are hunted year round in Argentina with April thru November being the most popular time for visiting hunters.
