Quail Falling Like Snow at the Beretta Shooting Grounds

So excited to share the great feature in the November/December Shooting Sportsman about the quail hunting and sporting clays available at the Beretta Shooting Grounds by High Adventure Company, located at Barnsley Resort. Editor in Chief Ralph P. Stuart and his girlfriend Trina French spent a few days with us last December.  And what a great time it was.

The quail were plentiful. Our general manager of the Beretta Shooting Grounds, BJ Moore showed the grounds to the fullest, accompanied by our prized dogs.  As Ralph commented, “Rarely did five minutes pass without either a covey rise or single or pair getting up.”

And the clays course presented plenty of challenges, as well as the opportunity for some on the spot coaching by our NSCA Level I shooting instructor, Jeremy Simpson. The tune up was all it took for Trina to gain confidence on the clays course and in the field, with the result that “birds began falling with regularity” for both she and Ralph.  As Jeremy remarked, “That’s what we call Georgia snow.”

We can’t wait to have them back to sample our 1,000 yard challenge and cruise around the 3,000 acre Shooting Grounds in the new UTVs.
